This two-volume set chronicles the lives and reminiscences of the second-generation monks of the Ramakrishna Order. These spiritual aspirants, though they did not physically see Sri Ramakrishna, were directly trained by his monastic disciples and Holy Mother. Volume 1 highlights the lives of Order Presidents like Swami Shankarananda and Swami Madhavananda, along with other prominent monks. Volume 2 expands the narrative to include monks from Western centers and the Varanasi Sevashrama, drawing from diaries and personal interactions. Swami Chetanananda captures their behavioral standards, spiritual struggles, and the flow of 'Brahmavidya' (knowledge of Brahman), preserving the Order's sacred traditions for future generations.
