Yogodyan – The Sacred Pilgrimage

We are happy to inform that the present English book is being published on completion of 125th Anniversary of the Ramakrishna Mission.

We sincerely hope that this book will satisfy the inquisitiveness of the devotees and admirers about the sacred Yogodyan.

Yogodyan Math has undergone various reforms over the years, but till today the asetics and devotees feel the eternal presence of Sri Ramakrishna here.

In 1994, revered Swami Gahananandaji Maharaj, then Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna Math (Yogodyan), Kankurgachhi, had published a very small booklet in English on ‘Ramakrishna Math (Yogodyan)’. Its second edition was published in 2004 and thereafter there had been no furthur publications of this booklet. In 1995, revered Maharaj had also published a book ‘Punya Bhumi Yogodyan’ in Bengali, compiling various historical facts. Now, the English booklet has thoroughly been edited and is being published in enlarged and moderated form, mostly translated from the original Bengali version, to apprise about the rich history and background of this Math. Many new information have also been added in this publication from various reference books, some of which are now out of print.
