The eventful life of Sister Nivedita (Margaret E. Nobel) spanned only 44 years 1867-1911 and swept across nations on three continents – Ireland, England, India & continental Europe, and the United States of America. The driving force of her life was a totally unselfish love – the loftiest ideal of humanity. Her keen intellect allowed her to gain considerable knowledge of almost all subjects concerning the physical world and helped shape her into a world mover. When she came in contact with Swami Vivekananda, she developed the insight to penetrate within herself and discover spiritual truths. This inspired her to dedicate her life to the service of India.
