A direct monastic disciple of Sri Ramakrishna and his apostle to southern India, Swami Ramakrishnanda was commissioned by Swami Vivekananda in 1897 to launch the Ramakrishna Math in Chennai and broadcast the sublime teachings of their Great Master. Being a practical Vedantin, he conducted classes and gave public lectures on varied abstruse topics with remarkable clarity. His analysis was incisive and logic was charming. This book comprises four such lectures delivered by him in 1909. He examines the foundations of science and the insights of Vedanta and firmly establishes that Self-Knowledge is the infallible means for permanent happiness.

Swami Satprakashananda
DR E PRAVEEN KUMAR –
A good book. I wish more concepts about the relation of the mind to the Soul, the true nature of the mind, the techniques to control the mind, how pure mind and Atman are one and the same etc would have been discussed in this book. Moreover, i suggest a thorough editing and removal of inadvertent printing mistakes in this otherwise valuable book. Hope my suggestions will be taken earnestly the book will be made invaluable and at par with the Swami’s other popular and indispensable titles.
