This treatise is an important Sanskrit classic of the Vedanta literature. The subject matter of this book “freedom in life” is a problem of Indian philosophy. The Advaita Vedanta philosophy, which is based on the Upanishads, Brahma Sutras, and Gita, advocates Jivanmukti. This book deals with this subject systematically and traditionally. This faithful and lucid translation by Swami Mokshadananda will go a long way in satisfying the needs of the readers eager to learn about this fascinating subject.

Reading this one book is like reading many other scriptures altogether. The subject is presented in more precise and systematic way. Very lucid commentaries by Swami Moksadananda.
A great book for enlightened beings as well as who are still not enlightened, best guide for the one who are walking on this path of attaining enlightenment.
Prosenjit Roy –
A RKM swami who is an exceptional teacher and is very famous on youtube, says of Swami Mokshadananda (paraphrased) – he would point to the closed doors of the cupboard and say, I dont know what’s all inside the cupboard, but I can definitely say what those are all made of. That, for sure must be the vision of one who has tasted jivan mukti, in my very humble opinion. Thakur used to refer to everything as pillow cases, filled with the same ‘thing’.
No wonder a translation of this great prakarana grantha by such an illumined swami as Mokshadanandaji is like a great treasure to have and frequently read and reflect upon.
